A woman died with coronavirus symptoms at Purbodhola in Netrokona this morning.
A local physician Md Abul Hashim said that the woman was having a fever of 104 degree Fahrenheit, dyspnea, loose bowels, high blood pressure and there was blood in her vomit.
The deceased was identified as Nurunnahar, 45, wife of Rokib Mia of Joardarpara village under Hogla union of the upazila.
According to family members, Nurunnahar had been suffering from fever, loose bowels and dyspnea for the last two days. She has never been in contact with anyone returning from overseas.
UP Chairman of Hogla Sirazul Islam Akanda Khokon said: “The deceased’s had probable symptoms of coronavirus. That is why I informed the Upazila Administration.”
Purbodhola UHFPO Mahmuda Akter said: “Samples from the body as well as a few persons who came in contact with her have been sent to the laboratory.”
Purbodhola UNO Umme Kulsum said: “Until the report is ready, nothing can be stated. Till then, all the people of the village are told to keep cautious. They are requested not to spread rumour and unrest the environment of the village.”
