Renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya has tested positive for COVID-19, reports media.
She herself disclosed this saying she tested positive for the virus two weeks ago and has been taking proper medication and treatment at home.
The 63-year-old had her sample taken for a second test on Jun 16 and remains hopeful that the test will yield a negative result this time.
A graduate from Visva-Bharati University, Bannya is currently serving as professor and founding chair of the dance department at Dhaka University. Earlier, she was a faculty at the music department of the same university.
