Mymensingh has been placed under lockdown

Bangladesh has crossed the 1000 mark after 209 more people tested coronavirus positive in a single day.

Besides, another seven people died from the deadly virus, raising the death toll to 46.

Meanwhile mymensingh has been placed under lockdown with a view to preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus in the district, reports media.

Starting from Tuesday (today) 5pm, the lockdown will continue until further notice, according to a notification signed by Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md Mizanur Rahman.

Public transports will be completely shut down during the lockdown. None will be allowed to get in or out of the district.

Emergency services, such as medical, food supply chain etc will be out of the purview of restriction.
