Music director Alauddin Ali on life support

National Award winning music director and composer Alauddin Ali has been put on life support at the capital’s Universal Medical College Hospital.

Shawkat Ali Rana, son of the music director, confirmed the matter to media.

Then he worked as an associate of various musicians including renowned musician Anwar Parvez. Alauddin Ali was very well acclaimed in 1975 by performing music. He won the first National Film Award in 1979 for the film ‘Pinki Ekhon Train e’.

He won the Best Music Composer, and Best Lyricists awards for the films Laal Doriya (2002), and Premik (1985) respectively.

He has directed music for more than 300 films in his career.
