Mominul ends overseas century drought in style

Captain Mominul Haque has scored his 11th century in Test cricket and his first on international soil, as the Tigers look to set a high total in the first Test against Sri Lanka.

The first overseas century in his career came in his 43rd match and at a moment when he was under severe pressure following Bangladesh’s only one victory in six matches under his captaincy.

Until play stopped due to bad light, Bangladesh collected 474 runs for 4 wickets.

Bangladesh will play two Test matches in Kandy during their tour of Sri Lanka. The second is scheduled to begin Apr 29.
