Cox’s Bazar under lockdown

Cox’s Bazar district has been put under lockdown on Wednesday in order to combat the transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Deputy Commissioner Md Kamal Hossain confirmed the news.

He said: “The district is put under lockdown this afternoon. The lockdown will stay until further notice.”

“No one will be able to get out or enter the district until further instructions,” he added.

He warned of stern actions if anyone violates this order.

“I request everyone to stay indoors and keep to yourself, your family and the country safe from coronavirus,” he further added.
