Covid-19: Now DU suspends academic activities for sine-die

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities today announced suspension of all classes and examinations for indefinite period in the wake of coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

Earlier, the university authorities suspended classes and exams from March 18 to March 31, which was later extended till April 14.

Confirming the matter on Thursday, a DU press release signed by Public Relation Officer Mahmood Alam also said that further notice will be served at least three days before resumption of the classes and exams.

In line with general holidays issued by government, the handout said, the offices will also be closed till April 14. The emergency services will be excluded from the vacation.

This is the third decision of suspension of academic activities.
