Covid-19 cases continue to spike in Bangladesh, 706 infected in 24 hours

The tally of coronavirus infections has surged to 12,425 in Bangladesh after 706 new COVID-19 cases were detected in a 24-hour count.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of DGHS came up with the update while addressing an online regular health bulletin about the latest corona situation in the country at 2:30.

However, the latest number of deaths were not announced. Nasima said it will be announced later in the day.

In the last 24 hours, 130 patients recovered from the the virus. Total recoveries stands at 1,910.

A total of 6382 samples were collected, of which 5867 samples tested in 34 labs.
