Covid-19: Bangladesh confirms 3 more deaths, 35 new cases

Bangladesh has reported four more deaths from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours and 35 infected afresh, raising the death toll to 12 Health Minister Zahid Maleque said on Monday.

Besides, 35 more people have tested positive, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh to 123, he added.

Health Minister Zahid Malique disclosed the information in a conference held at BCPS Bhaban in the capital.

In the morning, an official of the Anti-Corruption Commission, who tested positive a week ago, died at the Kuwait Maitree Hospital in Dhaka.

The health minister advised people to follow rules of quarantine and social distancing seriously to avoid a catastrophic situation.

Besides, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 69,000 globally as of Monday noon.

Coronavirus has so far infected more than 12.74 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
