Two more people died from coronavirus in Bangladesh, raising the death toll to eight, according to Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research(IEDCR).
Besides, nine other people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the number of such cases in the country to 70, said IEDCR direcor Meerjady Sabrian Flora in an online briefing.
Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora disclosed the information in an online press briefing on Saturday (April 4) noon.
A total of 30 coronavirus infected persons recovered as four more patients have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours, she added.
Coronavirus, first reported in China in December last year, is affecting 205 countries and territories around the world and two international cruise ships.
Besides, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 59,000 globally as of Saturday noon.
Coronavirus has so far infected more than 11 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
