Coronavirus: Bangladesh confirms death of 3 doctors on a single day

Three doctors died from Covid-19 on Wednesday (June 3) across the country, raising the death toll of doctors to six.

The deceased are Dr Mohammad Mohiuddin, a professor at the microbiology department of Ibrahim Medical College, Dr AKM Wahidul Hoque, retired evaluator officer of DG health and Dr Ehsanul Karim, Associate Professor of Chattogram Marine City Medical College.

Chattogram Medical College Hospital Deputy Director Dr Aftabul Islam and Foundation for Doctors’ Safety Rights and Responsibilities (FDSR) confirmed the to the media.

Dr Mohammad Mohiuddin breathed his last in hospital care at the capital’s Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital on Wednesday evening.

Earlier in the afternoon, doctor Ehsanul Karim of Marine City Medical College in Chattogram lost his battle with the coronavirus.
