Bangladesh confirmed 3,803 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, the highest daily rise since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country on March 8, bringing the total to 1, 02,292.
Besides, 38 more people died of COVID-19, taking the death toll in the country to 1,343, reports media.
Additional directorate general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Nasima Sultana disclosed this while presenting online bulletin on Thursday.
She added a total of 567,503 samples have been tested so far.
Quoting the health experts, director general of DGHS Abul Kamal Azad said the coronavirus will remain for the next two to three years. He urged all to following health rules to stay safe.
Meanwhile, the government has marked red, yellow and green zones to impose lockdowns again in some areas.
