Bangladesh reports 44 more virus deaths, 3,201 new cases, 3,524 recover in 24 hours

Bangladesh has registered 44 new fatalities from COVID-19 in a daily count, bringing the death toll to 2,096.

The number of total COVID-19 patients also surged to 1,65,618 to as the health authorities confirmed the detection of 3,201 new cases across the country during the same period.

In the last 24 hours, 3,524 patients recovered from the diseases, taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 76,149. Against the total number of detected cases, the recovery rate is above 44.72 percent.

A total of 14,245 samples were tested in 68 labs across the country in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima said.

Besides, the death toll from the virus has climbed to 537,103 globally, according to Worldometer.

Of the currently infected 4,494,017 patients, 4,435,362 are in mild condition while 58,655 are in serious or critical condition.

So far, 6,546,845 people have made recovery from the disease in different countries.
