Bangladesh reports 37 more virus deaths, 2,459 fresh corona cases in 24 hours

Bangladesh today recorded 37 coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths and 2,459 fresh cases in 24 hours. Raising the total number of infections to 204,525.

During the period the country registered death increased total number of fatalities to 2,618.

Health authorities reported that another 1,546 people have recovered from the disease in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 111,644.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at its daily health bulletin.

Nasima Sultana said a total of 10,625 samples were tested.

She added a total of 10,28,299 samples have been tested so far.

The DGHS said 1,68,78,398 people received healthcare services from hotline mobile numbers and health web portals as the government formed a group of medical professionals to provide emergency health services.

Bangladesh first detected coronavirus on 8 March and a patient first died on 18 March.
