Bangladesh reports 33 more virus deaths, 3,533 test positive, 1,796 recover in 24 hours

Bangladesh today recorded 33 coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths and 3,533 fresh cases in 24 hours. Raising the total number of infections to 1,93,590.

During the period the country registered death increased total number of fatalities to 2,457.

Health authorities reported that another 1,796 people have recovered from the disease in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 105,023.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at its daily health bulletin.

Nasima Sultana said a total of 14,002 samples were tested.

She added a total of 980,402 samples have been tested so far.

Bangladesh first detected coronavirus on 8 March and a patient first died on 18 March.
