Bangladesh today recorded 39 coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths and 3,099 fresh cases in 24 hours. Raising the total number of infections to 1,86,894.
During the period the country registered death increased total number of fatalities to 2,391.
Health authorities reported that another 4,073 people have recovered from the disease in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 98,317.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at its daily health bulletin.
The global death toll from coronavirus reached 571,976 Monday, according to latest data from worldometer.
So far, 13,057,847 people have tested positive for coronavirus while 7,604,228 patients have made full recovery across the world, the source said.
Coronavirus cases were first reported in China in December last year. The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on 11 March.
