Four members of ODI captain Tamim Iqbal have been infected with COVID-19.
Tamim himself confirmed the matter on Saturday night. But he is not infected with the virus.
At first, Nafees Iqbal, former Bangladesh cricketer and elder brother of Tamim, tested positive for the deadly virus. Later, Nafees’s wife, child and mother were also found corona positive from samples test.
However, they have no symptoms other than fever and they were receiving treatment staying at their Kazir Deuri residence in Chattogram city.
Earlier, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, an MP from Narail-2 constituency and former captain of Bangladesh cricket team, and left-arm spinner Nazmul Hossain Apu tested positive for COVID-19.
